RateVault started from a small frustration: getting a straight answer to "what is this worth in my currency?" usually meant five tabs, three ads disguised as buttons, and a number you could not quite trust. We built the tool we wanted to use ourselves.
RateVault aggregates publicly available exchange rate data for over 160 world currencies and pricing data for 30+ major cryptocurrencies, and presents it in one fast, clean, free page. We do not process payments, hold funds, or offer trading. We show the numbers — as clearly and honestly as we can — alongside the context to understand what they mean.
The site includes a live currency converter, a scrolling ticker of major rates, filterable rate cards for fiat currencies, a full cryptocurrency market table, four mini financial calculators (tip splitter, remittance fee estimator, crypto DCA calculator, and cost-of-living comparison), and a growing library of practical guides on currency and finance topics.
Fiat currency rates are sourced from a public foreign exchange data provider and refresh roughly every hour. Cryptocurrency prices are sourced from a public crypto market data aggregator and refresh roughly every minute. Both data sources provide mid-market reference rates — the midpoint between buy and sell prices in the interbank market. This is the most neutral and transparent benchmark for what a currency is worth, though it is not the rate any individual will receive from a bank, exchange counter, or transfer service, which all add their own margin on top.
When either live data source is temporarily unavailable, the site falls back to a set of approximate offline rates rather than showing an error, so the converter remains useful even during brief outages.
RateVault is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense, which allows every tool and guide on the site to remain free and accessible without an account. We aim to keep advertising clearly visually separated from rate data and editorial content, so there is never any ambiguity about what is an ad and what is information you can use.
We do not accept payment from money transfer services, cryptocurrency exchanges, or any financial product provider to feature or recommend them. Our guides are written independently, and any mention of transfer methods or services is purely illustrative of the landscape, not a paid endorsement.
Exchange rates and cryptocurrency prices move continuously, and our data is sourced from third parties who may experience brief outages or delays. We work to keep data as current as our sources allow, but figures on this site should always be treated as reference information rather than a guarantee. For any transaction of consequence, verify the current rate directly with the service you are using immediately before committing.
Nothing on RateVault constitutes financial, investment, or trading advice. The disclaimer at the bottom of every page reflects this genuinely, not merely as legal boilerplate.
RateVault does not require account creation and collects no personal information beyond what is standard for any website using analytics and advertising. Exchange rate data requests are made directly from your browser to the data provider — we do not log your queries or which currencies you look up.
